Natural resources for hair health and how do they work?

Overview

There is an eternal quest for healthy and shiny hair which no one can deny. We try so hard to find the best routine and products that would help us keep our hair in the best shape possible.

Nature has given us many of its resources that can help us through the process, the main benefit of these natural resources is that they usually have minimal damage on our hair, but yet be aware that not all the nature’s ingredients can work well for your hair, so you have to keep on trying till find that best one that fits with your hair. Here are some of them:

Rosemary oil:

Rosemary is an excellent essential oil that people usually choose to increase hair growth and reduce hair loss. Rosemary oil can stimulate new hair growth and can be used to treat androgenic alopecia.

Mix a few drops of rosemary oil into a carrier oil and massage it into your hair and scalp before rinsing. Do this a few times per week. Add a few drops of rosemary oil into your shampoo and conditioner on a daily basis. Do not use essential oils directly on the skin. Always mix them in a carrier oil or shampoo.

Aloe Vera:

Aloe vera is well known as a natural remedy for hair loss. It can also soothe the scalp and conditions the hair. It can reduce dandruff and open the hair follicles that may be blocked by excess oil. You can apply pure aloe vera gel to your scalp and hair a few times per week. You can also use shampoo and conditioner that contain aloe vera, but try to test a small amount at first to avoid any allergic reactions.

Coconut oil:

Coconut oil contains fatty acids that penetrate inside the hair shaft and reduce protein loss from hair. It also has shown to improve the health and luster of hair and has been used for centuries. If your hair is dry, you can use it as a leave-in treatment.

Onion juice:

If you can handle the smell of onion juice, you may find that the benefits are worth it. Onion juice has shown successful results in treating patchy alopecia areata by promoting hair growth. Onion juice is also thought to improve circulation. You can blend a few onions and squeeze out the juice. Apply the juice to the scalp and hair and leave in for at least 15 minutes, then wash your hair with shampoo.

Fish oil:

Don’t worry, you won’t apply it on your hair. As consuming omega fatty acids can help to improve your hair from the inside, since they are filled with nutrients. Taking an omega supplement source along with antioxidants helps to improve hair density and diameter, It also reduces hair loss. Try not to overconsume and follow the recommended dosage.

Lemon:

You can use fresh lemon juice or lemon oil since they are said to enhance hair quality and growth. Lemon oil, can help you to maintain a healthy scalp and encourage hair growth. Apply fresh lemon juice to your scalp and hair 15 minutes before you shampoo.

Banana and Olive oil:

Banana and olive oil have high moisturizing properties, both may work together to hydrate your hair and make it softer. You can Blend a ripe banana and with one to two tablespoons of virgin olive oil, then apply the mixture to wet hair and scalp, leave it on for 15-20 minutes, then rinse with water.

 

Shea Butter:

Shea butter is an excellent emollient that can be used to treat dry and damaged hair. Warm one to two tablespoons of shea butter, then apply to your scalp and hair, then massage gently and leave it on for 30-60 minutes. Rinse your hair well with a mild cleanser and follow up with a conditioner.
